Self-driving Off Road Cars!

During the fall semester of my 2022 academic year I had an internship as a research assistant for dolaGon, a company dedicated to engineering and manufacturing off road self-driving vehicles. Specifically, I worked on the ideas department, where we would try to figure out ways to overcome issues that we were having with the vehicle. An example would be when we worked on a remote solution in case the user wanted to shut down the vehicle while not being in the near vicinity. Other areas where I worked were on finding testing facilities and locations where we could see how our vehicle performed.

It was a very rich experience that showed me how engineering is done in the real world, and how cross-disciplinary skills are vital to the success of an engineering company.
